17 year old soccer student of mine wrote this for me. Her vision of success isn’t limited by what the majority think is unrealistic – she knows what she wants, and isn’t afraid of believing. Agree or disagree with her message, respect her conviction and belief system in such a young person.
“After winning World Cup, playing with the US Women’s National Team, I’ll be interviewed on the Today Show. I’ll talk about my faith and how God has provided so much for me, and how all of my success brings me closer to Him and my ultimate Glory. The interviewer will ask what motivates me – I’ll tell him/her I want to be there for the stranger sitting cold and alone on the street, being able to give back to people what God has given me. I’ll strive to change hearts and help them find God, so that their life has more meaning – and even when they pass away, their spirit will have a purpose and everlasting affect on the future generations to come – ultimately, resulting in a glorious world wide Christian community.”
